KIM Min-gyu, an electrical repairman, goes around ripping these posters off all the poles he works on. Since getting out of jail on probation, he has been putting up streetlights, 'making light.' His only pastime is carving soap in the image of Namsan Tower while hanging in the air, but these posters have given him a new pastime. The person who keeps putting them back up so stubbornly is JEONG Da-hae, who is looking for her little brother. She has regressive eyesight, and the objects before her eyes are getting darker and darker. Aside from searching for her brother, she does what she pleases, making money when she needs it, and spending as much as she likes when she does. She doesn't have much interest in anything else or any clear goals in life. But, still, love finds her. Da-hae and Min-gyu live in a rundown neighborhood in the hills where "the one good thing is that you can see the city scenery at night without anything getting in the way." The two get to know each other through the posters and fall in love. A love between a man who makes light, and a woman who is losing light.
