Its basically about a incredibly obese police officer coming to terms with his own mortality (he is given a year to live at the start of the movie). It has other bits and pieces in the plot (love, mystery etc), but these are not the central ideal of the movie.Jack Parsons grew up in poverty while suffering through childhood at the hands of an abusive, alcoholic father. At college, fueled by narcotics, alcohol, and a “can’t lose philosophy,” Jack runs with the popular crowd, pledges the school’s most exclusive fraternity, and continues to pine for his secret love, Anne - even though he knows his wealthy friend Freddy loves her. When another sexy girl enters the fray, they all unwittingly become perfect victims in a dangerous game of chasing the ultimate high.Larry Williams and Jean Strange happen onto each other after they both spent time behind bars for scamming the public. Larry tries to propose an idea, but Jean is not having any of it, at least right off, but soon enough she's listening to his scheme and showing interest. Larry wants to start up what he calls a "legitimate" business by resurrecting a defunct health and fitness magazine. He garners the financing from their old pal, Dan Healy, and then they recruit two Olympians to unwittingly front the operation, but the magazine's biographies accompanying the cheesecake and beefcake photo spreads under the guise of health and fitness soon leads to a split, forcing more conniving by Larry and friends.
