简介：Manuel Mur Oti (Vigo, 1908 – Madrid, 2003), director and scriptwriter. In the 1930s he left for Cuba where he studied law and literature. He was also attracted by film and began to write novels and scripts (e.g., for the four films by Antonio del Amo). The film alternates between their vibrant rehearsals and their circumscribed lives in low-rent apartments, underemployed, fitfully communicating with families back home, trying to make do with what they hope are only temporary arrangements in a foreign land.
