But she soon learns that Galt has been deceiving her and has no intentions of divorcing his wife. So she meets Pierre Clemont, a potter, and falls for him (onscreen and off). Into this little slice of life comes Emil Landosh, a confidence man, and he steals a bracelet that Galt had given Victor and uses it to pay a debt. Enter a twist-of-fate (the US title that describes the film a lot better than the UK title, which is not unusual for films going from America to England but seldom vice-versa), and it ends up in Galt's hands. They are from the show, Ghost Encounters. They ask the owner for permission to video in search for ghosts. They are given permission by the owner to spend the night at the motel in search of evidence of paranormal activity. Their electric magnetic instruments are spiked in different places on the property. Their search leads them to the storeroom. Once they enter, they find a door to the attic, which they had no idea existed. They go up and find a Santeria altar. Through investigation they learn that the janitor can communicate with ghosts and practices Santeria, so they interview him. Mayhem ensues.
