There were only 16 episodes that ever aired on the television network, ABC. After the show was cancelled, NBC purchased the rights to re-air the original 16 episodes from 1977 to 1979. The show is about a janitor named Penrod "Penry" Pooch, who works along with Sarge and Rosemary at the local police station. Whenever Penry overhears a crime being committed, he "jumps" into action.
