However, I must say that this particular example takes the cake: never during the course of the 90-plus minutes of the film is it made at all clear just which side the various characters are on and what kind of information they're peddling! Despite her financial status, she is self-confident and proud. She finds herself falling out of love with her childhood sweetheart and in love with a wealthy man. Jeong-ae decides to lie to him about her background in order to make herself more acceptable to him and his family.
